Holiday knitting challenge

There's only one way of finding out if I'm up to knitting myself a cardigan, right?

This might take me the rest of the year, or longer. But the yarn and needles are away on holiday with me, in the hopes of getting off to a good start.  Nothing like beginner's enthusiasm*!

Wish me luck...

  1. Good luck! I've been on a knitting kick all summer. I love knitting and crocheting as much as I do sewing. It's very relaxing and feels less like work since you can do it on the couch while watching tv. Post some progress updates!

  3. We all need a bit of 'luck, ignorance...' to push us! I bet this will come out beautifully. I can't wait to see it (and am willing to wait until the end of the year!).

  6. thank you! You're right, it's so great how it doesn't feel like 'working on' something, which can happen so easily with sewing

  9. do you knit at all so far? I found the movements came back to me really easily having learned the total basics (and nothing more) as a kid. Once you get into the swing of it, it's so therapeutic. Plus, nice cardigans!
