When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad

What would Maria Von Trapp think, I wonder?  Raindrops on roses, warm woollen mittens and... sewing sleeve cuffs. It really is one of my Favourite Things.

Do you have any oddly favourite little sewing things, too?

I like winding up bobbins! Love watching it spin so fast, it make me feel like I know what I'm doing!

  3. Oh boy - wish I could have you do mine for me! Sewing cuffs is one of my least favorite things! I'd trade you for doing zippers - I love doing zippers! And buttonholes!

  4. Surely there must be something I like to do.. it would be a weird hobby if I didn't like any of it... but I am struggling to think what I do enjoy the best. I guess I like that moment just before you start sewing. When the machines are threaded and the fabric is cut and ready to go and you are filled with anticipation and excitement that it's all going to be wonderful.

  5. I would do willingly swap - I hate both those things! I just get so nervous about them, a badly installed zip or ripped buttonhole can destroy a whole garment!

  7. Working on quilt blocks like paper pieced ones make me happy. Getting lost in the pretty minutiae. I'm glad cuffs are like that for you :)
